Job description
The Senior Security Engineer will work closely with the Chief Information Secuirty Officer and the IT Security and Compliance organization. This role will primarily focus on our DevSecOps processes, application security, cloud platform security and container security.
Job Responsibilities:- Operationalize and manage cloud workload protection technologies and related processes.
- Lead cloud hardening efforts utilizing cloud security posture management technologies.
- Develop security requirements for SAAS, PAAS and IAAS solutions.
- Manage application security technologies to perform SAST, DAST SCA and IAC scanning.
- Lead the development of application security processes and build application security automation using CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop security procedures, supporting tools, and reports to evaluate risks and controls
- Minimum 4 years' combined experience in IT Software and Infrastructure, networking, application development or security
- Two years experience administering / securing AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with cloud security benchmarks and hardening standards such as CIS and the Cloud Controls Matrix.
- Working knowledge and understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in management and definition of security in Agile and/or DevOps development methodologies
- Demonstrated knowledge of recognized IT security-related standards and technologies
- Solid understanding of and ability to speak authoritatively to security principles such as authentication/authorization, access control, and application security.
- Experience with Automation, scripting and reporting via APIs.
- Critical thinking, initiative, and communication skills are required
- Experience assessing controls in banking or other financial services companies
- Software engineering experience.
- Experience with threat modeling
- Experience with application penetration testing.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate to all levels of an organization
- 5 plus years of related experience
- For individuals assigned or hired to work in Jersey City, New York City, and/ or Westchester County, the base salary range is $118,000.00/Yr. to $158,600.00/Yr. as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
- Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above range may be modified in the future
