Overview:
The primary role of the Senior Residential Manager is to ensure that all of the needs of the people supported in the larger Intermediate Care Facilities are met while working in partnership with each team. These needs include, but are not limited to, ensuring their rights are both promoted and respected, supporting their health and safety and working with them to identify and realize their personal outcomes. In order to accomplish this, the Residential Senior Manager leads a team including a Residential Manager and Direct Support Professionals, in conjunction with clinical providers that work alongside the people supported to develop plans to meet the individuals’ needs. The Residential Senior Manager is also responsible for ensuring that these plans are both followed and documented in an appropriate and timely manner

Responsibilities:
  • Effectively communicate and support the organization’s mission, vision and values
  • Development and Implementation of all Comprehensive Functional Assessment (CFA) /Residential Habilitation Plans (Res Hab) and associated goals – in Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) – Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) responsibilities
  • Coordination of clinical documents as needed (i.e. Human Rights, Medication Consents, Care Coordination)
  • Primary on call responsibilities (5 days) – the Residential Manager would cover 2 days and when otherwise necessary
  • Direct oversight of the Residential Manager in their role and responsibilities
  • Ensure that the rights, health, safety and personal outcomes of the people living in the residence are being supported at all times
  • Ensure that all required documentation is completed appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Communicate with the people we support, family members, community representatives and external providers in a professional, respectful manner
  • Work in partnership with external providers (employers, day services, etc.) to ensure that all supports and services provided are in alignment and designed to meet the needs of the people living in the residence
  • Ensure that the residence, including the external property, is clean, safe and attractive at all times.
  • Ensure residence and individual finances are balanced and in compliance
  • Interview, hire, develop and retain high quality staff
  • Ensure all team members in the residence are fulfilling the roles and responsibilities of their positions. Provide supervision and guidance to all team members working in the residence on an ongoing basis. Address performance issues through performance improvement or corrective action measures
  • Manage and approve team members’ time worked in the residence while ensuring there are sufficient team members to meet the needs of the people living in the residence at all times

  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver’s license with no more than 8 points (where applicable)
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field
  • At least 1 year experience working with individuals with disabilities and at least 1 year of management experience
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Daily standing, bending and lift
