Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Quality Production Specialist to support the 737/787 Return to Service Program, Seattle Delivery Center for 12-month domestic temporary assignment (DTA) in Victorville, CA. The candidate will return to Seattle, WA after DTA is over.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.

  • Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations and processes.

  • Guides the review of production plans.

  • Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.

  • Guides or provides assistance in the root cause analysis of nonconformance.

  • Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field.

  • Establishes process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives.

  • Oversees the process of problem resolution to ensure effectiveness of the Quality Management System. Provides oversight of the corrective/preventive action plans to assure timely completion.

  • Reviews and oversees approval of Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes.

  • Provides direction for validation of corrective action to assure causes of nonconformance has been eliminated.

  • Monitors the groups' performance of the verification activity.

  • Creates formal analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distribution.

  • Works under minimal direction and is responsible for training and mentoring lower level technicians.

  • Able to travel 20% of the time

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 5+ years conducting quality investigations, Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments

  • 5+ years of collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data

  • 5+ years in Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • 5+ years in reading and interpreting engineering drawings

  • Able to Travel up to 20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3+ years of experience with Reference Engineering Data Automated Retrieval System (REDARS)

  • 3+ years of experience in quality and/or manufacturing data systems (CMES, QAR, Velocity)

  • 3+ years of experience in a production-related field such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality

  • 1+ years working directly with suppliers

  • 3+ years of experience with systematic problem-solving skills

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: $111,350 - $150,650
