ABOUT THE COLLEGE:

Green River College's student body is made up of approximately 41% Academic Transfer students, 34% Professional-Technical, 15% Adult Basic Education, 3% Applied Bachelor degrees. Green River College has four campuses, including the main campus in Auburn, with satellite campuses in Kent, downtown Auburn, and Enumclaw. Green River programs serve high school graduates, Running Start students (dual enrollment in local high schools and the college), those seeking retraining for the workforce, international students, students learning English, and Continuing Education students. PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Under general direction, perform duties using knowledge and experience specific to the program. Exercise independent judgment in interpreting and applying rules and regulations. Independently advise students, staff, program participants and/or the public regarding program content, policies, procedures and activities. Have extensive involvement with students, staff, the public and/or agencies to coordinate and expedite program activities. Coordinate, schedule and monitor program activities to align with program goals.

Position Responsibilities

  • Direct contact to college community for shuttle bus and van rental requests for college related activities & events.
  • Manage the shuttle bus & van rental schedule.
  • Coordinate drivers schedules for activities & events.
  • Process & reconcile invoice billing for bus rentals, driver wages and fuel expenses and chargeback to appropriate agencies budgets.

Campus Safety Program:
  • Manage the processes involved with the Dispatch Center’s protocols and procedures
  • Oversee the training and processes of the camera and alarm systems
  • Oversee the program and processes for the inventory and procurement of first aid supplies, NARCAN kits and AED accessories
  • Oversee the inspection, inventory, and procurement of communication equipment
  • Assisting in Building Captain program
Shuttle Bus Program:
  • Maintain reports for daily riders, trips from campus to raceway and expenses - Assist with bus maintenance needs.
  • Promote shuttle bus program: flyers, newsletters, events.

Transportation Program:
  • Promote the program with the bulletin board design (LSC), presentation board used at events & activities and printed material, brochures, flyers and newsletters.
  • Respond to emails relating to the Transportation program.
  • Manage kiosks located at several sites on campus with updated program related materials.
  • Promote & manage the CLUB, anti-theft device, project to currently enrolled students.
  • Act as the Liaison with the Washington State Department of Transportation and the college Commute Trip Reduction program.
  • Submit the bi-annual Commute Trip Reduction survey to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Clerical duties:
  • Schedule meetings and reserve rooms.
  • Record and publish the meeting agenda and minutes.
  • Order supplies, reconcile monthly procurement card report.
  • Coordinate and process travel arrangements for administrator.
  • Assist with and sometimes conduct new hire orientation sessions.
  • Support Campus Safety as duties are assigned.
  • Manage the Campus Safety website.
  • Manage training records

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Expertise in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and FrontPage
  • Previous experience in designing brochures, flyers, newsletters preferred
  • Attention to details is an absolute requirement.
  • Ability to work effectively with people of diversity; ethnic, cultural, educational and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated competency in Accountability, Communications/Effectiveness, Coordinating/Organizing, Marketing & Sales, Project/Program Management and Team Leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree or equivalent job experience

Special Requirement:
  • Able to pass and maintain a background check
  • Ability to have a WA State driver license and reliable transportation
