Role Summary

As the Sr. Program Manager, Service Global Expansion & Strategic Partnerships, you will have an immediate impact on our productivity by streamlining our service strategic initiatives, program managing with precision, and communicating business objectives and customer requirements across the organization. You will have the right level of experience to integrate yourself into the organization quickly and identify barriers that are preventing effective operational performance by serving as an integrator, communicator, and driver of program performance. The Sr. Program Manager, Service Global Expansion & Strategic Partnerships lead the successful execution of one or more programs by creating the program strategy and benefits and ensuring that each project has the appropriate controls to support the program objectives and the needs of the customer. You will understand the customer's perspective, communicate effectively, and gain customer trust by continually meeting commitments. The opening will be located at a Rivian facility and reports directly to the Sr. Manager Strategic Partnerships & Global Expansion Programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes end-to-end accountability for single or multiple concurrent projects
  • Executes successful operationalization of key service initiatives
    • (International go-to-market and Service launch for major commercial customers)
  • Develops cross-functional strategic plans with objectives that measure up to company wide goals
  • Defines the program roadmap, controls, or the processes, procedures, reporting, etc., to manage the program
  • Delivers robust and standard project tracking that supports clear status on financials, schedules, and resources
  • Manages the risks and issues that arise over the course of the program life cycle and take measures to correct them
  • Documents, maintains, tracks, and reports contract/service level agreements requirements and metrics
  • Ensures Voice of Customer is heard, understood, and drives decision making
  • Generates progress reports for clients and senior leaders within the organization
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the position

Qualifications

  • Bachelors (Masters Preferred) with emphasis in Operations, Supply Chain, or related discipline
  • 2-3+ years of experience in Program/Project Management while working for an Automotive, Tier 1, OEM, or technical field preferred
  • Must be able to deliver internal and external updates with exceptional business acumen
  • Large toolkit of Program/Project Management tools
  • Experience in product/project/program lifecycle management, supply chain operations and logistics
  • Thorough communication, and relationship skills to ensure the highest levels of customer experience
  • Forward thinking problem solving, and change management skills to proactively ensure risk mitigation
  • Notable negotiation and stakeholder management skills to drive influence-based decision making
  • Impeccable organizational skills and acute attention to detail
  • Current possession or ability to obtain a U.S. Passport with the willingness to travel internationally 20%
  • Ability to stand or sit for 8-10 hours per day
  • Required to communicate using telephone and/or e-mail
  • Ability to view, reach, and interpret documents

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $121,000 to $150,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
