Job description

Role Description: Operation of Filter Press equipment and chemical composition checks for water quality. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toed shoes. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
• Operation of all Filter Press related equipment.
• Periodic operation of Polishing related equipment, including overhead crane operation.
• Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Communicate with other Operators, Assistant Shift Leaders and Shift Leader.
• Ensure a clean and safe work area.
• Complete shift paper work.
• Assist in production as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time.
• Ability to work overtime hours as needed with little or no notification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
