Position Summary:
**This position is contingent upon contract award**

MAG Aerospace is bidding on a program and hiring for a Senior Network Engineer who will analyze, plan, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance complex top-secret networks & systems while working within a team of network technicians, software developers, test & systems engineers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but not limited to :
  • Provide 24/7 system support for deployed mission-critical networks
  • Perform systems integration, installation, configuration, test, and verification of software and hardware solutions, primarily for communications networks, both fixed and mobile
  • Independently perform network system troubleshooting, analysis, and solution development
  • Performs systems and network engineering analysis, assesses evolving user needs, translates those to network design changes, reconfiguration, hardware and software configuration, adaptation, installation, and test of user requirements-based functions.
  • Conduct systematic translation of product requirements into total systems solutions that adhere to technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Conduct the systematic translation of customer requirements into total systems solutions that adhere to technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Develop design documentation including hardware and software architectural, functional, and interface descriptions
  • Production of highly complex technical papers and technical presentations
  • Define network system processes, interfaces and architectures including design and reverse engineering where necessary
  • Assist with the development of design documentation, including hardware and software architectural, functional, and interface descriptions
  • Assist with the production of technical papers and technical presentations
  • Works closely with software developers, systems engineers, cyber analysts, configuration management to support Post Deployment Software Sustainment activities on Network Systems.
  • Participates in creation, review, or update of contract deliverable documents (CDRL).
  • Recommend improved methods and processes related to team product or service, to improve quality or increase performance efficiency.
  • Applies current and emerging network software and hardware technologies and protocols
Requirements:

Minimum Requirements


Experience:

  • 15 years of Network Engineering experience with US Military or US Government Networks and Systems.
  • Ability to define systems processes, interfaces and architectures including design and reverse engineering where necessary
  • Experience conducting the systematic translation of product requirements into total systems solutions that adhere to technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Experience developing design documentation including hardware and software architectural, functional, and interface descriptions
  • Experience with production of technical papers and technical presentations

Education:

  • At a minimum - Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics or IT related discipline
  • Preferred – Master Degree in Computer Science

Certifications:

  • Must Have a Current Security+
  • Must Have One of the Below
    • CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Associate

OR

    • CCNP - Cisco Certified Network Professional – (any discipline)

Security Clearance:

  • Top Secret with Current eligibility to obtain an SCI

Other Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen
