This position is a hybrid of remote and onsite.
MAJOR FUNCTION: Works directly with the Network Services Manager to assist with designing and engineering the Inspira wired and wireless network infrastructure including remote locations. Oversees installations and upgrades of all network devices throughout the hospital and affiliated remote centers. Assists with training and may delegate some tasks to the Network Support Specialists. Researches, reviews and makes recommendations for alternative vendors and products with cost savings and efficiencies as the end result.
QUALIFICATION:
A. Education:
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field of study required.
B. Experience:
- Minimum of seven years network experience required in a multi-site network environment required.
- Experience with L2/L3 Switches including Advanced Routing Protocols.
- Experience with Firewalls, VPNs, and Security standards.
- Experience with Enterprise Wireless Networks.
- Experience with Alcatel-Lucent networking equipment a plus.
C. Certification/Licensure:
CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certification required. Network Security certification preferred.
