Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Analysis to join our Analytical Center of Excellence team! This role will be the primary business partner providing financial and analytical support for manufacturing facilities within our GP Plywood business.

How you succeed: This is an individual contributor role that creates value by providing actionable manufacturing analysis, cost analysis & benchmark reporting, as well as process improvement tracking for management. You will also create value by driving process improvements that lead to new tools, processes, and capabilities that will be used to eliminate waste. While in this position you will obtain excellent knowledge of the key drivers of success in our business and will be provided the opportunity to learn from all levels of management in preparation for your next role with us.

Location: Our Corporate HQ is located in downtown Atlanta, GA. As a Senior Manager of Analysis, partnering with our Operations Leaders is key. In this role you support locations in Taylorsville, MS and Gurdon, AR and some travel to these locations will be required.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Report and analyze monthly results and trends
  • Provide analytical support on capital and major expense projects
  • KPI and cost benchmarking/bet tracking and analysis
  • Planning and forecasting ownership
  • Ad hoc analysis
  • Provide input and recommendations for process improvements by respectfully challenging historical practices
  • Proactively build mutually beneficial relationships with others, to better understand and utilize the resources available to the business
  • Leverage a natural curiosity and entrepreneurial mind-set to identify opportunities that create value and advance the current state
  • Advance our Principles-Based Management® culture by applying and reinforcing the company’s Guiding Principles

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Progressive career experience in a financial analysis, accounting, cost accounting, operations finance, or related role(s)
  • Understanding of key accounting and financial concepts, cost accounting principles, business drivers and key performance indicators
  • Collaboration/Contribution mindset: You seek to build working relationships and partner with others to bridge gaps and solve problems
  • Experience working with a large volume of data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting a point of view to key stakeholders
  • Confident Communicator: You have experience presenting financial concepts to various audiences, including business leaders
  • Ability to travel up to 25% if required to engage and partner with operations and attend corporate meetings

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • Manufacturing industry experience (building products a plus)
  • Previous roles with heavy ad hoc analysis requirements
  • Cost analytics experience and/or Financial modeling experience
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables and reporting, working with macros, data manipulation/analysis and formula creation)
  • Experience with data analysis/visualization tools beyond Microsoft Excel (i.e., Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau)
  • Process Improvement / Process Transformation / Process Implementation experience

Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. For this role, we anticipate paying $ 100,000.00 to $ 130,000.00 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
