Launch Operations is the driving force behind the expansion of ShipMonk’s fulfillment network. In this role, you will support both fulfillment center launches, and Merchant (brand) launches across new and existing ShipMonk locations. The Launch Operations team consists of hands-on launch (Operations) support as well as project- and stakeholder-management-related activities. As a Senior Manager of Launch Operations, you will work collaboratively with Operations, Sales, Solutions & Engineering, Client Experience, and ShipMonk’s Development (systems & product) teams to create, improve, and deploy new launch processes and strategies. Such processes and strategies will support optimized launch methods, launch metric performance, and improved customer (internal and external) experience throughout the launch process. A successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a detailed-oriented approach to problem-solving, and a proven track record of collaborating with key stakeholder groups. Direct fulfillment Operations and/or Launch related experience is desired.
What you'll do:
- Support Launch Operations efforts across the fulfillment network; collaborate with and aid local Operations teams, acting as a resource and subject matter expert on topics related to ShipMonk Operations.
- Build, standardize and improve Launch Operations processes and tools, ensuring methods are scalable to support our rapidly growing organization.
- Analyze and enhance Launch related infrastructure and strategies.
- Perform site-level analyses, monitoring site and brand performance both during launch and a post-launch hyper-care period.
- Leverage both quantitative and qualitative inputs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities in related processes, operational performance levels, and knowledge-management practices.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in supply chain/logistics roles, e-commerce fulfillment industry preferred.
- Extensive experience with G-Suite and Microsoft Excel and knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and/or budgeting
- Experience with project- and stakeholder-management·
- Self-starter who can handle ambiguity, with strong critical thinking/problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new processes and adapt within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, with periods (Peak season, large-scale launches) of increased travel beyond 25%.
