Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Multi-Family Senior Manager (Level M) to join our Supply Chain team in one of the following locations: Berkeley, Mo; Arlington, VA; Auburn, WA; El Segundo, Ca; Everett, WA; Hazelwood, MO; Huntington Beach, CA; Huntsville, AL; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; New Orleans, LA; Oklahoma City, OK; Renton, WA; Ridley Park, PA; Seal Beach, CA; St. Charles, IL; Titusville, FL; Tukwila, WA.

This is a new position reporting to the newly appointed Director of Supply Chain Readiness. The focus will be to help achieve production stability by taking a proactive approach to improving our supply base health. This leader will manage a team of Supply Base Managers to help ensure the readiness of our supply base and assist with the execution and management of our BDS contracts through the oversight and execution of source selection decisions and work movement initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversees efforts to establish executable plans, ensure performance to plan, mitigate risk and resolve supply chain issues (technical or non-technical) associated with work movement, partnering with key suppliers and Supply Chain partners to drive quality and on-time part delivery.

  • Manages employees performing activities related to the management of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessments and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity.

  • Provides oversight and approval of mitigation plans to avoid risk in the supply base by way of metric reviews, work prioritization, inventory control and work movement initiatives.

  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.

  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift

Security Clearance & Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience leading a team or program.

  • 5+ years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • More than 1 year of experience working directly with supplier management.

  • More than 5 years of experience in supplier management or supply chain management.

  • More than 1 year of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.

  • More than 1 year of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 50% of the time.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $142,800 – $223,100
