Zog, Inc., a leading MSP in the Greater Philadelphia and Orlando areas, is growing rapidly and seeking a local Senior IT Systems Engineer to add to our highly-skilled team. The ideal candidate will have the IT infrastructure background to handle multiple simultaneous projects for our clients. The projects range from Microsoft 365 implementations (SharePoint, Intune, OneDrive, etc.), Azure configuration, firewall deployments, security setups, networking, routing office technology relocations, voice and data wiring, server setups, migration of on-premise email and server environments to Azure, and a variety of other implementations. In short, you should have a strong IT generalist skillset. Additionally, you must be very detailed oriented and be comfortable communicating over the phone or on video calls with clients.

The Senior IT Systems Engineer is responsible for deploying, configuring and documenting the client environments we support. The role is client facing, so interpersonal skills and communication with clients on a regular basis is required. The ideal candidate will be upbeat, detailed, positive, customer service oriented, and have the requisite technical skills.

Essential Duties:

· Design and Implement firewall and network solutions. Ability to use Cisco IOS for command line configuration. SonicWall and WatchGuard Firewall experience is also needed.

· Support and Troubleshoot customers using Microsoft's core business applications, as well as virtual environments built on Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware.

· Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, SQL, SharePoint, etc.

· Configure and install security tools including but not limited to: SIEM, Advanced AV, DNS Filtering, Spam Protection.

· Interpret the output of security tools.

· Installing, migrating, troubleshooting and protecting email systems.

· Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and equipment throughout client networks.

· Navigate and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Team, Email and Azure and handle administrative tasks on those platforms.

· Deploy software packages using RMM tools.

· Write PowerShell scripts to handle administrative tasks.

· Implement and support remote access solutions: VPN and Terminal Services

· System documentation upkeep for all client environments

· Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.

· Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 Security and/or Security best practices for Azure environments.

· Ability to deploy and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop is a big plus

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

· Enter all work as service or project tickets into ticketing system.

· Work through project tickets and phases as assigned by a Project Manager.

· Review IT publications and online materials to remain up to date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry.

· Understand processes and complete assigned training materials.

· Enter time and expenses as it occurs on a daily basis.

· Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities.

· Escalate service or project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels.

· Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

· Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft, SonicWall, A+, Network+ and Security+, CCNA, CCNP, VCP6-DCV, CCNA or equivalent experience.

· Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer-care.

· Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately.

· Service awareness: be familiar with all key IT services for which support is being provided.

· Business awareness: specific knowledge of the customer and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals.

· Diagnostic skills for technical issues.

· Possess a track record of managing the customer commitment and time schedules.

· Demonstrated level of success in the development of project plans.

· Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details.

· Proficient with general office applications.

· Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.

· Enjoy working with customers and external audiences.

· Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.

· Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively at technical and non-technical levels.

· Ability to conduct peer and customer training sessions.

· Skill in preparing written communications and materials for both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer-care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
Much of our work is able to be performed remotely, but we also support our customers on-site. Direct client interaction is not extensive while on-site.

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Azure Virtual Desktop: 2 years (Required)
  • System administration: 5 years (Required)
