We are seeking a creative, experienced, and highly adaptable Senior Designer to own the end-to-end delivery of design projects across various channels/mediums, from ideation to production. This position will support all Tricoci business units, inclusive of salon and spa services, in-store and online retail, and Tricoci’s owned haircare brand. The Senior Graphic Designer must have experience designing digital assets (email, display ads, website, social, app), print collateral (in-store signage, packaging, print), and presentation decks. Ideally, the Senior Graphic Designer possesses experience in all aspects of the package design creative process to support Tricoci’s CPG business. As part of the marketing team, this individual will deliver visually stunning, cohesive, and highly elevated brand assets and marketing campaigns that will help to shape and refine the overall visual identity of the brand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Taking a strategic approach to design, execute creative projects that communicate a fresh and modern luxury aesthetic to support business objectives and future ambitions.
  • Conceptualize and design a variety of assets including website landing pages, in-app creative, emails, social graphics, digital ads, presentation decks, and other marketing and sales collateral.
  • Oversee the production of print assets including file preparation/die lines/print layouts to support beauty products, physical collateral and in-store signage.
  • Own digital asset management tool (Bynder) end-to-end, including file management, taxonomy, and categorization support business needs.
  • Partner with email and social teams to develop high-impact, effective email templates, social content for use in communicating specific targeted messages.
  • Evolve and iterate on the brand visual identity and voice for multi-channel campaigns that touch all areas of the customer experience including social, web/ecommerce, brick-and-mortar retail, product and packaging, experiential and more.
  • Working cross-functionally, oversee the planning and execution of photoshoots. Provide end-to-end support including concept, design/art direction, vendor management (photographer, retoucher) and post-production management, ensuring assets are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Review editorial and image content, ensuring proper layout and color, and approving printer proofs.
  • Lead the development of style guides, templates, and brand books to create superior brand standards for Tricoci.
  • Lead with positivity and uphold a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

Traits of a successful candidate

  • A well-rounded portfolio showcasing a highly refined sensibility across many mediums.
  • An excellent understanding of typography, photography, Illustration, presentation skills, sketching and design methodology.
  • Expert-level knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite; Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Adobe Premiere and AfterEffects a plus. Fluency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint/Keynote.
  • Experience with print production and knowledgeable about innovative materials, paper, printing and production processes; Familiarity with general file preparations for both print and digital, printing practices, PMS and 4 color press.
  • Extremely organized, process-oriented, and meticulous with file and asset management; can maintain absolute accuracy and attention to detail throughout the creative and production process.
  • Extensive experience using Digital Asset Management tools (Bynder, Brandfolder, etc.)
  • Ability to present design solutions to project teams and other stakeholders.
  • Highly discerning with an impeccable eye for detail; possesses a highly elevated personal aesthetic.
  • Experience working in beauty, fashion, or luxury on the brand or agency side.
  • Excited by a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; able to tackle competing priorities under tight timelines with the flexibility to pivot when necessary.
  • Deadline-oriented and inquisitive, with great follow-up and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to accept creative direction and critique with a professional attitude.
  • 5+ years of graphic design experience with a concentration in branding. Retail and beauty industry experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, advertising, fine arts, or related field of study; or commensurate work experience.

Location Specifics:

In-Office and Remote structure. Tricoci has two corporate offices, one in Chicago (West Loop) and one in Palatine. A minimum of 3 days in-office is required.
