What we are looking for

SCS is looking for a full-time Senior Geologist/Hydrogeologist to help us grow our Carbon Sequestration, Solid Waste, and Electric Utility practice areas. As part of our Upper Midwest regional team, you will help us pursue our growth goals and give our customers responsive, high-quality customer service. You will report to the Madison, WI office, with options for a hybrid or remote work schedule.

How you can make an impact

• Receive work assignments from the Project Manager or Project Director
• Work independently and in conjunction with other staff to complete assigned tasks
• Follow SCS health and safety protocols
• Coordinate and manage field work
• Lead permitting and regulatory agency coordination efforts
• Prepare design calculations and modeling
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and clients
• Assist with the development of new SOP's, standards, and templates.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Chemistry or related science required. Masters and/or PhD is a plus.
• 5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Geology and Hydrogeology course work required.
• Professional Geologist (P.G.) is a plus.
• Experience with Class I, II, or VI underground injections wells is a plus.
• Experience in landfill and/or coal combustion residuals (CCR) projects is a plus.
• Experience in groundwater modeling, vadose zone modeling, and/or multiphase flow modeling is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.

Pay range for this position is $ 80k to $90k depending on experience and location. This does not include bonuses or our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
