Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Geek Squad
As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer within The Geek Squad Team, you will help Best Buy grow one of our most visible areas. We are seeking an innovative and technically curious Senior Software Engineer to join us as we continue to grow the impact of the Geek Squad and their impact on our customers.

As our Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing the next generation of Geek Squad applications. You will be using Cloud Native technologies, DevOps principles and Agile practices to deliver industry leading solutions at high velocity and unrivaled quality.
This role is hybrid, which means you must be located within a drivable distance to one of our Best Buy corporate offices. At this time we are looking for this engineer to be working out of our Richfield, MN headquarters. You might be asked to come into the office up to 3 days per week.

What You'll Do:
- Develop front end components and libraries in JavaScript leveraging frameworks like React, Redux, Node JS and so on.
- Develop, test and maintain microservices and REST APIs in Java leveraging technologies like Spring.
- This Engineer will be part of the Geek Squad Services Technology Team that is responsible for building microservices and React components that provide the best digital experience for our employees.
- Drive architecture and design sessions to build out new applications and services and make existing systems better as they evolve.
- Write meaningful test cases to test the application at various level including unit test, functional test, performance test, regression test and load test – leveraging tools and technologies like JUnit, Spock, Cucumber, Selenium, JMeter and so on.
- Work closely with test engineers to help build test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Help and mentor other engineers on the team in a technical capacity.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience
- 3 or more years of full-stack engineering in Java back-end with Modern JavaScript framework experience on the front end with React.
- 3 or more years of relevant experience architecting and building UI components and libraries using React, Redux and Node JS
- 5 or more years of relevant experience architecting and building microservices/API’s using Java
- Ability to learn and implement using new technologies as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of experience working in an agile and continuous delivery environment
- Experience using Azure Managed Services / PaaS
- Experience using GraphQL
