Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to work closely with finance leadership and boundary partners to support and develop consolidated Cox Automotive forward-looking reporting and analysis. This role is key to Cox Auto financial storytelling to all levels of leadership, as well as high priority finance organization projects or initiatives.

We are a highly visible team who collaborate in a fast-paced environment. This role is unique in that it offers the opportunity to understand the entire breadth of Cox Automotive and interact with all levels of the Finance organization including Senior Leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct financial reporting and analysis to identify trends and develop recommendations to support and inform CFO and Executive Leadership Team business decisions

  • Budget and report monthly results for Cox Automotive cash flow. This will require cross functional business knowledge as well as a strong understanding of the P&L and balance sheet.

  • Maintain and improve upon the Cox Automotive incentive compensation payout calculation. Use financial metrics to accurately calculate payout information for accounting and leadership.

  • Analyze month-end results, risks and opportunities, annual target setting data, annual budget submissions, and ad-hoc analysis requests to better support and inform business decisions

  • Promote modeling, reporting, and presentation best practices

  • Support key finance projects - includes projects that improve our analytic tools, data, and processes to enhance overall analytic capabilities

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Outstanding analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of intellectual curiosity

  • Proficient using Excel and modeling with large complex data sets

  • Comfortable building executive level presentations

  • Strong communication skills - can present views in a clear and compelling manner to different organizational levels

  • Ability to build strong trusted working relationships and influence internal and external business customers at all levels including executive level management

  • Highly organized with strong sense of ownership, excellent follow-through, and a bias for action

  • Self-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting with 4+ years of experience with a focus on financial planning or analysis OR Master's Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience OR a Ph D. with up to one year of experience.

  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivered results

  • Proven ability to prepare executive level presentations and insights

  • Strong communication [written & verbal] and interpersonal skills

  • Advanced MS Excel - includes logical and reference formulas, financial functions, correlation through logic, best practice model structure/design and assumption toggling

  • Intermediate MS PowerPoint

  • Experience with OneStream is a strong plus
