Department Summary
The primary purpose of the Integrated Student Service Center (ISSC) is to provide a progressive and simplified student experience across the areas of financial aid, student accounting, money management, registrar and admissions. Central to the ISSC model is to promote a culture that supports customer service, student satisfaction, retention, and student success.

Position Overview
The Sr. Director Integrated Projects & Student Experience will support the student experience, engagement initiatives, assist with development and implementation of strategic communications, and ensure activity is aligned to departmental priorities and strategy. Position will also assist the Center and the Division to anticipate needs, identify potential problems, and forecast resource requirements. This is a hands-on role that will require the ability to engage directly in project work, lead others toward the completion of projects and drive the adoption of best practices throughout the department. This position will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of the Division of Enrollment and the Integrated Student Services model.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s and eight years of closely related professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in related field and ten years of closely related professional experience
  • Extensive knowledge of University policies and procedures related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).
  • Extensive knowledge of Texas rules and regulations related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).
  • Must exercise considerable independent and professional judgment in matters of significance.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM based technology

Job Duties

o
Leads ISSC projects intended to provide centralized support and management for non-curricular initiatives and engagement programming.

o
Supports the AVP and Division leadership in a strategic context, helping to prioritize initiatives; ideate and execute projects and initiatives; and manage significant internal and external relationships.

o
Directs communication, and strategic outreach initiatives to execute Division priorities.

o
Manages strategic communication planning and initiatives and ensures all content follows branding guidelines, uses consistent messaging and reflects the division’s strategic vision.

o
Creates new, innovative approaches and solutions in strategy, production and planning processes.

o
Monitors and reports on project progress; keeps leadership and stakeholders informed of project status, critical paths, risks, pivots, and progress.

o
Ensure that planning moves from a high strategic level down to an operational level so that all members of the Department understand how the planning impacts them and they know what is expected to move the plan forward.

o
Works closely with other departments of the University to provide support processes/functions necessary to maintain an excellent standard of services related to students, families, faculty, and staff.
