AHP has an immediate opening for a Senior Data Analyst to join our team of leading researchers in behavioral health studies. The successful candidate will help conduct quantitative analyses for a broad range of projects, including national cross-site evaluations, comparative effectiveness studies, and local program evaluations. Some qualitative analysis may also be involved. AHP is specifically interested in candidates with demonstrated expertise in behavioral and/or health services research.

Position responsibilities:

  • Work independently on project teams under the general direction of a project investigator to do a wide variety of data management and analytic tasks.
  • Program data management and data manipulation tasks (e.g., data reshaping, stacking, merging/joining) to create analytic datasets that combine data from multiple sources.
  • Clean datasets to identify outliers, assign missing values, etc.
  • Conduct quantitative analyses including descriptive statistics, parametric and non-parametric tests, as well as more complex modeling and multivariate techniques with guidance from a senior analyst.
  • Summarize results of requested analyses in tabular format and produce data visualizations for internal and external use.
  • Work with team to help prepare presentations and other reporting products.
  • Collaborate with other analysts in creating reusable code and data pipelines to increase analytic efficiency across multiple projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in social sciences, statistics, or biostatistics. Some experience in research projects in behavioral health, public health or social science conducting rigorous analyses including pilot studies, program evaluations, and effectiveness studies.
  • Experience with a quantitative data analytic tool/language such as Stata, R, Python, SAS, or SPSS required. Experience with Stata or willingness to learn is required, as we use Stata for core data management functions.
  • Experience with other data collection, visualization, database, qualitative, or specialized analytic tools a plus (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Dedoose, Atlas TI, NVivo, MPlus, Mixor).
  • Some experience/coursework on statistical methodology.

Salary Range: $104,000 - $127,000

AHP, in an effort to be transparent with applicants about salary and in compliance with various state pay disclosure requirements, publishes the following information which is current as of the date of posting. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the AHP salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be high or low in the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. The range listed is just one component of AHP’s total compensation package for employees.
