JOB TITLE: Senior Coordinator, Operations
REPORTING TO: VP, Operations, Match Day Security
DEPARTMENT: Operations Department
LOCATION: New York, NY / Hybrid

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Sr. Coordinator, Operations will be the Event lead for NYCFC II matches and US Open Cup matches. In addition, the position will support the Director, Operations for NYCFC, Leagues Cup, and any other matches. This position will closely within the Operations team in running, developing, and implementing game day protocol and evaluating best practices for NYCFC matches. This position will interface with departments across the organization along with external operation contacts.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Event Lead for NYCFC II Matches including hiring all contractors
  • Event Lead for US Open Cup matches
  • Manage installation schedule at NYCFC matches
  • Maintain detailed inventory of all equipment
  • Manage signage creation and installation at events
  • Manage parking allotment and distribution
  • Assist with event guide preparation and communication with different departments
  • Hire and manage logistics crew and game day staff
  • Oversee visiting supporters at home matches
  • Traveling liaison of NYCFC supporters during certain road matches
  • Assist with credential management to ensure all needs are met
  • Work with stadium grounds crew to ensure proper playing field setup and testing
  • Support pre match ceremonies and game presentation
  • Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops and seminars
  • Some travel required
  • Other duties as assigned

WHO YOU ARE:
  • Experience showing professionalism expected around professional sports teams
  • Ability to meet deadlines; accomplish work in order of priority; professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
  • Ideal candidate has Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in event management

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Applicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policy and any other applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by NYCFC
  • Must be able to work games scheduled which may be at night and on weekends and holidays
  • New York City Football Club requires a COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment, subject to exception under applicable law

COMPENSATION:
This exempt position has an estimated annual base salary range of $55,000 to $60,000. Final compensation offer amounts are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors such as certifications and software expertise.
