We are currently seeking an experienced Sr. BSA Compliance Specialist for a credit union located in Altadena, CA!

Type: Full-time, temporary (6-9 months)

Pay: $23-34/hr

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday: 7:30am – 4:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for reviewing reports used for detection of, and accurate filing of, Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as required. This includes coordinating with branches and departments to review, investigate, and report timely.
• Independent and timely review of alerts in the BSA/AML software, generated for BSA/AML, watch lists, fraudulent activity, and generating reports as required.
• Reviews new account information to ensure compliance with MIP/CIP and ongoing CDD/EDD risk assessments and monitoring requirements.
• Reviews fraudulent transactions, notification emails, returned items and related accounts and/or loans to detect and help prevent the occurrence of fraudulent activity.
• Assists in the analysis, controls, and management of risk assessments for the BSA/AML program, Identity Theft & Red Flags and other assessments as needed.
• Assists with investigations that require involvement of law enforcement, acting as liaison between the credit union and law enforcement.

Requirements:

• 3 years of proven branch and back-office operations within a credit union or bank
• 2 years of analyzing, following up, and reporting fraud losses, transactions and developing controls for loss mitigation
• Compliance or BSA certification of NCCO, CUCE, ACAMS or similar
• Previous experience with compliance and regulations that govern the Bank Secrecy Act
• Detail oriented and accurate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill
