Responsibilities:

As a successful Senior Business Development Associate, you should expect to:
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline of 3 times your revenue dashboard goal.
  • Coordinate travel logistics and booth setup for tradeshows, where you will attend and generate leads.
  • Participate in various networking events such as clubs, association events, boards, and charity events.
  • Target clients that fit Pinion’s client model and strive to win profitable work that provides value to the client, building strong trust-based relationships.
  • Read industry publications to identify potential leads and to stay current on industry happenings.
  • Leverage knowledge of industry trends and client challenges to develop and deliver compelling value propositions and win the work.
  • Make introductory phone and in-person appointments.
  • Identify additional sales opportunities with existing clients and participate in reporting and strategy meetings, as appropriate.
  • Prepare and submit sales reporting in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities from appointments and collaborate with others to create service agreements/proposals and price work, follow-up after proposal delivery.
  • Establish milestones on projects sold and monitor the progress to make sure the work is being completed timely. Serve as a liaison between the customer and the project team.
  • Initiate contact with Market Champions and Market Strategists monthly for purposes of collaboration and strategic direction; coordinate efforts with Market Champions for direction on prospects to pursue.
  • Conduct research on prospects, as directed by the Market Champion; provide feedback to the Market Champion/Strategist about challenges the prospects and clients are facing in their business/industry for purposes of seeding ideas for innovation.
  • Use MS Dynamics to manage accounts, including tracking calls and emails, and inputting and updating account information.
  • Perform competitive analysis to understand how to differentiate Pinion’s products and services in the competitive marketplace.
Qualifications:
What you’ll need for this position:
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of sales experience in professional financial services, ideally serving community clients
  • Associates degree or greater (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Successful track record in sales, including prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals
  • Exceptional relationship-building/relationship management skills to establish rapport, trust, and confidence with leadership, staff, and clients
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present technical information
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to utilize a variety of technology tools, including Microsoft Office products, Dynamics, Outlook, and other related programs
  • A willingness and ability to travel overnight, up to 40%
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis upon hire. Pinion will not provide sponsorship for this position, and therefore cannot consider candidates requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B status)

In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for a range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75K to $100K.
