Overview

As Senior Brand Strategist, you are a member of our Integrated Strategy team, consisting of Brand Strategists and Medical Directors. GSW’s multi-disciplinary approach to strategy offers a differentiating leadership opportunity in healthcare marketing.

You will primarily support the VP, Brand Strategy in the development of brand strategies and tactics that align with the clients’ business objectives. Your role will help elevate the agency’s insight into the lived experience of illness today, from the perspective of all key audiences, including physicians, patients and caregivers as applicable. You may also be asked to provide secondary support to the entire Integrated Strategy team by conducting primary and secondary research and analysis to illuminate market, product and competitive insights to help drive strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with brand team members including account management, medical, engagement and creative colleagues to create and apply strategic solutions to meet client/brand objectives
  • Assist in custom research design and development (e.g., crafting discussion guides, conducting interviews, attending client-managed research, and synthesizing learnings to develop an informed point-of-view and strategically relevant recommendations)
  • Help provide clarity and understanding of the behaviors, drivers and motivations of healthcare audiences (HCPs, patients, caregivers)
  • Assist in planning and facilitating brand positioning and creative strategy workshops, discussions, and brainstorms
  • Aid in the development of creative briefs and help inform engagement plans
  • Stay current with industry news and competitive environment to continually expand knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4+ years’ strategic planning experience in a healthcare environment, in either an advertising, marketing or consulting agency
  • Strong research design and facilitation skills (especially qualitative, with knowledge of quantitative methods) with experience in mining actionable insights among healthcare audiences (including HCPs and/or patients)
  • Experience with developing and presenting content in a client-facing capacity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – samples of writing and presentations may be required
  • Accountable, self-starter with a curious nature and willingness to learn and stretch their knowledge
  • Communicates clearly and succinctly in a variety of settings and styles
  • Ability to conceptualize and think strategically
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage deliverables across brands
  • Passionate and focused on building strategic solutions for healthcare brands

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $60,930 to $115,100. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions MAY include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
