TJT is seeking a Senior Advisory Associate with at least three years of experience in public accounting or consulting. As the Senior Advisory Associate, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution.

TJT's Advisory Team provides comprehensive financial and business advisory services to private, owner-run companies, including family-owned businesses, partnerships, private equity backed, and start-ups. We also support company growth through risk management, system and processes optimization, and merger and acquisition integration as well as modeling and deep financial analysis.

Essential Functions

  • Develop understanding of TJT's Advisory foundation methods for process analysis and project management to contribute to engagements to a consistent standard and format
  • Exercise understanding of how Advisory services are offered to clients within the context of a public accounting firm
  • Demonstrate an understanding of business processes, risks, and controls, including regulatory requirements and related accounting issues, and help clients implement appropriate processes and systems for governance and control purpose
  • Understand and apply technical knowledge including AICPA consulting standards, local financial reporting requirements, and GAAP
  • Work on engagement teams and support managers on small to mid-size private company projects
  • Participate in special projects for our clients that provide further growth and learning experiences as needed

Analytical and Technical Functions

  • Complete quantitative and qualitative analysis through variety of data analytic tools and techniques and visualize results; grow a command over all aspects of a data driven process and throughout the entire project lifecycle to deliver high-impact performance results
  • Assist in demonstrations of solutions and tools to targets and clients, including post implementation client support through training and consulting services
  • Prepare recommendations to clients, and build implementation plans for execution of program to achieve results
  • Assist clients in preparation for and evaluation of potential mergers and acquisitions
  • Exercise upmost professional skepticism while prioritizing and completing tasks

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related area of study
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience in public accounting or consulting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, demonstrated quality service mindset
  • Conversant with data analysis techniques
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects concurrently
  • Adept at synthesizing all forms of research into clear, thoughtful, actionable deliverables
  • Knowledge in GAAP best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current or actively pursuing CPA, CIA, or CFE certification
  • Experience using QuickBooks, Intacct, NetSuite, CCH, or alternative accounting platforms
  • Prior Audit experience within public accounting
  • Skilled in navigating analytical and dashboarding functions in Power BI, Excel, or Tableau
