Our Corporate Accounting department is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven Senior Accounting Analyst to join the team! This position provides an excellent opportunity for growth! As a key member of our collaborative and experienced accounting team, the ideal candidate must be well-versed in transactional and technical accounting. You must enjoy working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, complex environment, and be excited for many growth opportunities. This is a full-time position based in our West Los Angeles office, reporting to the Director of Accounting.

This position will be based at our HQ Office in West Los Angeles and working a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the office.


Job Description
  • Perform month-end close activities including preparing and posting journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, analyzing variances, and drawing conclusions from available data.
  • Provide coaching and hands-on assistance as needed to the Corporate Accounting team
  • Support completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Review and prepare balance sheet, intercompany, and fixed asset account reconciliations; implement follow up action plans for resolution to reconciling items.
  • Review, prepare and analyze accounting transactions, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy and completion, and provide variance explanations.
  • Review and prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting for various departments, providing flux explanations and updates to forecast
  • Partner and collaborate with various departments to resolve any issues that arise surrounding job responsibilities.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and best practices within business units to drive efficiency.
  • Assist the Director and Accounting Manager in accurately accounting for complex matters such as 1031 exchanges, equity transactions, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform special projects and ad hoc requests such as supporting the year-end audit, financial and lease reporting, compliance initiatives, and tax filings.

Qualifications
  • 3-4 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, with strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal controls.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment which requires effective multitasking and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls.
  • Self-starter and able to drive projects with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess a personal sense of urgency and superior teamwork skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Major ERP system experience, preferably Oracle.
  • Experience with internal and external auditors.
  • CPA or CPA candidate.

Pay Range: $97,500 - $107,500 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
