Job description
STV is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in our Douglassville, PA or our Philadelphia, PA office.
Key responsibilities:
- Manages the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures.
- Designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency.
- Ensures integration of data produced into systems and supports objectives of financial analysts.
- Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and revenue.
- Participates in annual audits and special projects.
- Work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes.
- Select, supervise, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in an accounting, supported by 3 to 5 years’ work experience as an auditor in a public accounting firm
- US CPA licensure in your work state required
- Highly preferred experience within the A/E/C industry
- Proven project management skills
- Experience with Power BI preferred
- Excellent communication
- A collaborative approach to management
- The flexibility to constantly learn and adapt
Location preference
- Preference for candidates who can work out of Douglassville or Philadelphia office 2-3 days a week
