Job Overview:

The Senior Accountant will perform various accounting and finance duties requiring initiative and independent judgment to provide relevant financial information and insightful analysis in support of the goals and objectives of the organization. This position will maintain internal controls and develop new procedures as appropriate to improve the security of company assets and operational efficiency. This position is critical in building accounting operations that will support our growth, including people, processes, and tools.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete month-end close procedures including account reconciliation, analysis of revenue accounts, analysis of expense accounts, and journal entry preparation, review, and approval
  • Prepare monthly financial reports analyzing variances in financial performance
  • Identify, document, and implement accounting policies and process improvements
  • Assist with preparation of external financial statements and support of external audits
  • Participate in cross functional company initiatives as necessary
  • Utilize knowledge of US GAAP principles on a daily basis and assist with technical research as necessary
  • Plan and execute monthly financial review with local operations team
  • Support various departments with reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed
  • Complete year-end tax forms for owners and vendors
  • Assist with accounts payable processing


Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
    • Public accounting experience and/or payroll, benefits, and equity accounting experience preferred
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting and US GAAP principles
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to effectively organize, present, and respond to information
  • Experience in analyzing large transactional volumes, preparing trend analysis, and resolving variance issues
  • Ability to think independently to solve practical problems and present solutions
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems
    • NetSuite preferred
  • Demonstrated initiative and experience executing new accounting systems and tools
  • Problem solver that enjoys the challenges of building a high-growth business and has a positive, "can do" attitude
