Sentry Storage in Rancho Cordova & Shingle Springs, CA & is looking for a motivated and dependable staff member to fill a Part-Time Self-Storage Assistant Manager position. This is a 16 hours per week position, schedule as follows:

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of our self-storage facilities while remaining in compliance with all state and federal laws. Working closely with the Property Manager and District Manager to achieve business goals and objectives.

Job duties include Displaying, Leasing, Maintaining accounts, and Vacating of self-storage units/parking spaces; Greeting customers, Answering Phone/Internet leads for rental inquiries, and making/sending Delinquency Phone Calls & Notifications. Includes all aspects of running an office including, but not limited to, the use of a Computer software program, responding to Internet Inquiries in a professional manner, Communicating with the corporate office, Making decisions, Reconciling Receipts, Following lien procedures (must be detailed oriented), and the Printing/Interpreting of reports. You will be part of a management team that depends on you, so dependability is essential to this role.

In addition to office related work, responsibilities include being able to do Light Maintenance Work both inside and outside (i.e. Cleaning of Units, Picking up trash and debris, Sweeping grounds, Replacing light bulbs, Mopping floors, Maintaining doors and equipment, Restroom cleaning, Minor repairs, etc.) This requires the physical ability to lift, walk for extended periods, sit for extended periods, and at times carry heavy items less than 40lbs.

Our ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well with the public. Possess good time management skills and have the ability to solve problems in a courteous and timely manner. Must have knowledge of Computers, Sales Tactics, Communication with Customers and Supervisors, and enjoy working with people. Our ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Must be able to pass a complete background check, have a valid U.S. Driver's License and a bank account for payroll direct deposit. Hourly pay starts between $17.00 an hour, plus the opportunity to earn bonuses and commissions paid monthly immediately.

Depending on scheduled number of hours health benefits may be offered after a 90 day period. We do offer paid vacation time, matching 401k and a good opportunity to make bonuses and commissions monthly. Including bonus and commission amounts, take home pay can increase the hourly rate significantly.
