The Space and Intelligence Division provides engineering services and analytic support to the Air Force, Space Force, Combatant Commands, the Intelligence Community, and NASA. Our work includes systems engineering and integration, test planning and execution, cost estimating and analysis, developing approaches and concepts to meet emerging, high priority National Defense needs, and assessing and developing cutting-edge technologies and capabilities to meet those needs. SPA has an immediate need for a Mid-Level Security Specialist
Responsibilities:
Abo ut the Position
Be part of a team where your contributions to security are essential! You will be expected to collect, investigate, research, document, and forward to adjudications, all reportable information from employees and contractors (received through the Automated Records Check and Continuous Evaluation Program) within applicable mandated timelines. You will document, file, and maintain all actions in the security system of record and ensure timely actions are taken on all ARC and CEP events. You will prepare accurate and quality reports of investigation. You will be entrusted to direct activities of the security specialist as necessary and coordinate with the government Team Lead.
Qualifications:
About the Must Haves
  • Bachelors or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 7-10 yrs. of experience including >3 yrs. within DoD/IC and Experience must include >2 years of SMS and CAC; must have SAP experience
  • Significant experience in a distinct functional or cross-functional security areas (e.g., personnel, physical, industrial security; computer investigations;classification management; operational security; security education, etc.)
  • Must obtain DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification IAW DoD Manual # 3305.13M within 1 year of service start date
  • Experience directing the activities of security specialists as necessary on activities related to the specified field or discipline.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team environment, and have strong written and verbal communication skills
