Job description

General Description: Unarmed Guard responsible for watching over client site/school property during the evening and overnight in Braintree. Lots of walking/patrolling, holidays and school vacations off, must have security experience. Accountable for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts, or other criminal behavior. Security Officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators, as well as having great customer service and communication skills. Must have a valid drivers license, and be able to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Essential Functions:

Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence

Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property

Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area

Secure all exits, doors, and windows after the end of operations

Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts

Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions

Respond to alarms by investigation and assessing the situation

Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences

Provide a professional level of service to meet and exceed client expectations

• Requirements:

Valid driver's license and Vehicle

19+ years of age

Pass a Icori (background check)

Be able to work weekends and overtime.

• Skills Preferred:

Proven experience as a security officer or guard

Knowledge of legal guidance for area security and public safety

Familiarity with report writing

Excellent surveillance and observation skills

Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems

Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense

Registered Security Officer

High School Diploma

• Expectations:

Ability to stand, walk, and climbs stairs for extended periods of time.

Must be able to conduct interior and exterior patrols.

Dependable and reliable attendance record.

Maintain a drug-free workplace.

Customer Service oriented

Excellent communication skills

Ability to make decisions with limited supervision

Work independently
