This position requires an understanding of shipboard system design, integration concepts, support requirements, and knowledge of interfaces that support the weapon system (Tomahawk and Harpoon). The position also requires a review of design/system changes, representing the program at review/readiness panels and participating in government/industry teams, and providing system engineering support to ensure quality and technical capabilities to Harpoon Weapon Systems. The incumbent must also be familiar with Integration testing, the Navy Modification process, and the IA certification process. Ability to develop and present data to a wide level of Program affiliated personnel. The incumbent must be able to communicate complex technical concepts both orally and in written form to a broad spectrum of personnel including program manager representatives.

• Attend weekly meetings and provide weekly highlights on current tasking
• Research and respond to Technical Feed Back Reports (TFBR) for USN Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC)
• Provide recommendations for updates to MRCs as needed to support USN and FMS
• Provide technical support to support USN fleet, Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), and other supporting sites
• Create/update/review technical documentation (Technical Bulletins, Technical Notices, News grams, Engineering Change Proposals) to support fleet issues

Qualifications:

• Education: position requires a four-year degree (preferable technical) or equivalent military experience
• 5-7 years of weapon systems experience is highly desirable
• Proficient in MS Office
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• Must be a team player who works well in a collaborative environment
• Must have a positive attitude and ambition to grow
• Highly organized and able to multi-task under constant change

Security Clearance:

Applicants may be required to have an active security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance as specified in the minimum qualifications. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD government-granted security clearance.
