Job Overview



Macy’s Branded Entertainment is looking for a Parade Volunteer Management Specialist for the upcoming Parade season. This position will support the Strategic Planning team in various aspects of volunteer management supporting the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.




Essential Functions



  • Oversight of our Branded Entertainment volunteer community.
  • Strategize overall volunteer program, including organizing volunteer events, establishing volunteer relationships, and implement appropriate Branded Entertainment support.
  • Identify and lead volunteer recognition efforts that will drive engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal partners on colleague engagement in Parade volunteer programs and initiatives.
  • Assist with outlining volunteer value and support.
  • Assist with all volunteer communication, including mass email, managing events mailbox, answering FAQ inquiries, responding to mobile app inquires, etc.
  • Assist with Parade volunteer registration, including sending applications, reviewing applications, pulling reports via registration site and FileMaker Database.
  • Develop and implement volunteer recruitment efforts, including company-wide colleague communication and participation programs.
  • Assist with FileMaker Database management, including data entry, record review, tech support, etc.
  • Liaison with key partners for FileMaker Database and assist with database migration project.
  • Liaison with tech partners for registration site and mobile app needs.
  • Assist with planning of pre-parade events for Branded Entertainment Team and load in/load out activities, and/or event set up/strike for various Macy’s holiday events, trainings, and attractions.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, trainings, ticket distribution and event logistics.
  • Customer service.
