Overview:
Maintains and installs Point of Sale registers, desktop and laptop computers, and peripherals; performs user support tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides support to users and is the first point of contact. Answers the help desk line to assist end users with questions and problems related to hardware, software, POS (Point of Sale) equipment, and network-related inquiries. Utilizes the helpdesk system, emails and telephone communication to respond to and interface with end users.
  • Unpacks, configures, installs, and dismantles equipment including POS (Point of Sale) computers, desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, copiers, and any accompanying peripheral devices.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems related to desktops, laptops, POS, networks, cameras and mobile devices. Troubleshoots both in person and remote via a Remote Monitoring and Management software. Escalates unresolved issues to next-level support personnel for completion.
  • Assists with configuration and testing of new hardware and software implementations. Assists with seasonal teardown, winterization, and preparation to ensure operational systems by opening date.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to support business needs.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Prefer college courses in information technology, computer science, or other schooling and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to complete job responsibilities.
  • Previous experience with and knowledge of Windows 10 operating system, as well as PC application software including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
