The purpose of the New Hire Coach is to prepare the incoming hires to successfully learn how to scribe a complete and legal chart in a live, virtual setting. Coaches work in two teams: Scribe Onboarding Team and the Scribe CR Team. Scribe Onboarding team manages the New Hires from Day 1, Onboarding, to when they successfully pass the Final Exam; known as Gate 1. Scribe CR Team manages the New Hires from Pre-Chart Readiness to Ready for Placement; known as Gate 2. The New Hires then move to Team Training, which is done through their placement site; known as Gate 3.

New Hire Coaches must effectively communicate to New Hires and be actively involved with the New Hire’s training progress. Coaches manage and track, daily, the New Hires within the program. Coaches are required to document the New Hire’s status and keep interactions well documented. Each Coach reports to their assigned New Hire Coordinator and must inform them of any New Hires that are struggling in any aspect of training or are showing negative behaviors that could be a detriment to moving the New Hire to their assigned site placement.

Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position is $14.50 per hour (unless dictated by state/local minimum wage).
