Screw Machine Trainee 2nd Shift
Job description
Dixon is looking for a Screw Machine Trainee to join our team in Dallas, NC! As a Trainee you will learn how to operate screw machines as you work along side another machinist. You will gradually be given more and more responsibility and follow through our internal Screw Machine Training program. 2nd shift hours are 2:55 pm-11:25 pm and include a 10% shift premium!
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate with employees on the manufacturing floor
- Follow processes and procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Work safely around equipment and co-workers
- Learn to operate screw machines, inspect parts, and maintain organization and housekeeping
- Perform other duties as required

- Mechanical aptitude

- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds over the course of a shift
- Some mechanical interest or skills
