School Social Worker

AnthroMed Education is currently seeking a School Social Worker in Oak Park, Michigan. In this role, you will be supporting an early childhood caseload. This is a great role to be the foundation for a new Early Childhood Center with a ton of room for growth!

Responsibilities:

• Maintain appropriate school records and provide written reports and communication logs
• Develop programs that provide counseling to address the child's social, emotional, and academic needs in areas such as school performance, anger management, conflict resolution or substance abuse, etc.
• Participates in IEP process, attends IEP meetings and provides updates for IEP Counseling goals and objectives.
• Provide one-on-one counseling or group counseling as needed to students and families
• Provide parents and guardians with information regarding community mental health resources and support networks
• Implementation of verbal and physical components of the Program’s prescribed methodologies for verbal de-escalation or physical management, when necessary
• Provide informal and formal assessments

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work
• Valid Social Work license issued in the state of Michigan
