School Nurse (LPN)/(RN)

Responsibilities of the School Nurse:
- Providing one-on-one nursing throughout the school day
- Assisting a child with classroom activities as appropriate
- Working with the school team to support the child’s IEP
- Accompanying the child on the bus or can to and from school
- Providing health care needs to the student during the school day

Qualifications of the School Nurse (LPN):
- Must have good standing license in the state in which the clinician will practice
- Current CPR certification
- Must be willing to provide in school nursing care to students within the school setting
