North Reading Middle School is seeking a School Nurse to support students' health needs, triage situations, and facilitate ongoing wellness programming in the school. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential. In addition to competitive salary and benefits (linked below), we are offering up to $9,000 per candidate available for: Tuition reimbursement, relocation support, and/or signing bonus.

Essential Duties

• Provide direct nursing services to students and staff at North Reading Middle School
• Administer medications
• Communicate with parents/guardians, faculty, and health care providers
• Attend 504/IEP team meetings as appropriate
• Complete data entry associated with student office visits as needed
• Provide professional development to staff on issues related to health and wellness as appropriate
• Coordinate and complete mandated and recommended health screenings
• Consult and collaborate with school administration and the Nurse Leader on matters pertaining to student health and well-being as appropriate
• Attend and participate in nursing department meetings
• Assume other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Building Principal and/or Director of Student Services

Requirements

• RN license
• Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) license in Professional Support Personnel: School Nurse (All Levels)
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience preferred
• Master's degree preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in basic computer skills; i.e., Gmail, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
