Overview:
Seneca is looking for a School Culture & Climate Specialist to help lead one of our K-8 schools in Richmond, CA for the 2023-24 school year in the pursuit of Unconditional Education, a model that replaces traditional fragmented special education and mental health systems with a holistic model where schools, families, and the Seneca Program Team collaborate to promote the achievement of all children within inclusive environments. As a School Culture & Climate Specialist, you'll lead a trans-disciplinary, multi-agency team to assess the culture and climate needs of the school community and create a responsive, culturally relevant annual implementation plan.

Responsibilities:
  • Master the “train the trainer” series for School-Wide Positive Behavioral Supports (SWPBS), become the SWIS database facilitator and coordinator for PBIS Assessment database, and lead the creation of an onsite SWPBS team.
  • Act as the internal coach for the first year of implementation by facilitating initial assessments and ongoing fidelity measurements for the implementation of SWPBS.
  • Facilitate evaluation and program improvement assessments at school sites.
  • Lead the Coordination of Services Team to oversee the referral of students requiring support; this includes the timely implementation of interventions, the monitoring of students receiving interventions, and the evaluation of intervention effectiveness.
  • Provide coaching and professional development that guides Seneca’s school partnership staff to experience success with all students.
  • Implement research-based interventions aligned with a multi-tiered intervention framework.
  • Engage caregivers in the educational process through formal training and workshops and by providing frequent opportunities to discuss student growth and needs.
Qualifications:
  • A Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
    • A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience may suffice
  • Demonstrated familiarity and success working in school settings
  • Creditable success leading other adults in creating change
  • Valid California driver’s license, clean record, and insurability under Seneca’s automobile policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and COVID-19 vaccinction/booster
Schedule:
  • Full-time
  • 5 weeks of paid time off and 11 paid holidays

  • Starting at $80,400-$94,400 per year, with actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
