This is intended for candidates interested in becoming a Certified Medical Assistant through the University of Providence Medical Assistant Certificate Program in Great Falls, Montana. This certificate program introduces students to the healthcare profession by teaching them basic clinical and administrative skills. These skills can be used in clinical and outpatient setting. You will learn to deliver patient centered care using safe, accountable, and ethical behaviors and skills.

Medical assistant certificate students can expect to take the following courses as part of their curriculum. Although intensive, the curriculum is written according to the Medical Assistant Education Review Board (MAERB) Core Curriculum National Standard guidelines. Enrolling in a program that meets these guidelines allows students to sit for the National Healthcare Association (NHA) Certified Medical Assistant Exam upon graduation – certifying them as ready-to-work medical assistants.

Trainees who are awarded a Benefis Scholarship into the program are required to successfully complete the University of Providence Medical Assistant Certificate Program, successfully pass the NHA exam, and accept employment as a Certified Medical Assistant at Benefis Medical Group for a two year commitment, at a minimum of a 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week).

Employment at Benefis is pending successful completion of reference checks, a criminal background check, and pre employment screenings.
