The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling refined product movements from offshore platforms to storage facilities and to refinery destinations. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Compile shipper nominations and other pipeline information in order to coordinate and schedule all receipts into the system(s) on a daily and /or monthly basis.
- Provide the preparation and communication of daily and/or monthly schedules for the Control Center and connecting carriers in order to coordinate deliveries to our customers.
- Provide necessary information for accounting purposes at satisfactory time intervals.
- Provide shippers with information for their planning for receipts, deliveries, etc.
- Recommend improvements in methods, procedures and equipment used in accomplishing scheduling coordination with all parties involved.
- Coordinate scheduling activities with operations personnel so as to maximize operational efficiency.
- Assist the Asset Manager with the essential functions on the operation and management of CHOPS.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 -3 years of Control Center or operational pipeline experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a refined products scheduler or other scheduling skills preferred.
- Working proficiency/knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
- Ability to multitask and demonstrate a common sense approach to problem solving.
- Ability to read and interpret contacts to understand the Company's obligations under same.
- Effective written and oral communication skills with internal and external customers at all levels within the organization on a daily and 24/7 basis.
- Demonstrate initiative and effective time management skills to develop knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill job responsibilities in an independent thorough manner.
