Job Description
The position is for a Warehouse Specialist supporting a large production team producing the AN/UPX-24(V), which provides central processing for Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) system for CI&IDS NAWCAD WOLF division.
Typical task and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Loads and unloads shipments at staging and receiving areas
• Transports material and items between receiving point and storage point.
• Sorts and places material in defined storage locations using identifying information
• Counts and sorts incoming material to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice
• Examines received stock to verify conformance to specifications
• Fills requisitions or requests for materials other stock items for issue to requester
• Works with Production Lead to fill required parts kitting to production schedule, opens maintenance action forms (MAF), request parts and updates/informs required forms and Leads.
• Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves/racks, according to identifying information, such as style, size, and type of material in accordance to predefined locations.
• Maintains traceability to procurement documentation
• May mark or remark materials and quantities as needed
• Opens containers using manual hand and power tools
• Reads shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed. Prepares material for delivery
• Operates dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift as needed for loading and unloading supplies and equipment
• Operate shrink-wrap, banding, or inflation machine for transition or final shipments
• Assists with periodic, special, cyclic, or perpetual inventory of stock
• Informs project manager and supply/ procurement department lead of low stock
• Inputs data on adjustments of inventory counts to computerized stock records
• Notes spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments. Reports findings to project manager and supply/ procurement department lead.
• Assemble crates and takes pictures of end item pack out for final delivery
• May provide assistance in other functional areas as required by the Lead/Manager

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County, near to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School diploma and at least one year of related experience
Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
Physically able to lift, handle and move up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work independently and make positive contributions as a member of a successful team in a high pressure environment with multiple high priority tasks
Experience following detailed written procedures
Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Word/Excel, and data entry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with records and inventory counts
Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and maintain a neat and safe work environment
