Job Summary:

Washes all wares including pots, bins, flatware, and bowls, by hand or using dishwashers. Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas. Stocks serving stations, plastic pallets, carts, and other assigned areas with necessary equipment and utensils.

Maintains a clean washroom, properly washes, and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps washroom area free of dirt and organized. Dry floors throughout the shift.

A Dishwasher, or Sanitation Personnel, is responsible for cleaning equipment and utensils in a food service environment to ensure that the kitchen, bakery and the facility has a steady supply of clean utensils.

Role & Responsibilities

Effectively cleans all assigned areas of the facility both inside and out which includes equipment, machinery, bakery, restaurant, kitchen, and general grounds.

Maintains a safe working environment for all employees/contractors and promotes a culture of employee safety in all areas of operations.

Participates in accident investigations.

Properly uses chemicals including mixing and spraying various chemicals.

Adheres to company and industry food safety standards and GMPs.

Able to follow regarding work assignments and daily tasks clearly and finish with high attention to detail.

Must maintain an excellent attendance record.

Ability to work in wet, hot, or dusty environments.

Proficient in using plant touch screens and CIP procedures.

Must be able to use the following: Pressure Washers, Chemical Foamers, Electric Floor Machines, Wet & Dry Vacuums.

Must be able to lift heavy bags and boxes at times and push up to 500 lb carts on wheels.

Must be able to read and understand labeling on cleaning products and sanitizers.

Must demonstrate the safe and proper use of squeegees, mops, brooms, hand and floor scrapers, paint brushes, rollers, and other tools as needed.

Must be able to use ladders and/or lifts to their highest safe height.

Shares and implement a continuous improvement, customer-focused mindset.

Other related duties as assigned by the Sanitation Manager and Management.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be willing and able to work different shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements & Physical Demands

• 
  Eager to learn and continuously improve.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical coursework or certifications and continuing education encouraged.
• Mechanical ability and aptitude for learning is preferred.
• Strong understanding of and aptitude with basic tools.
• Browser-based computer software experience.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50lbs.
• Ability to work on your feet for hours at a time, and in hot environments.
