EMSL Analytical, Inc. is seeking a Full Time Sample Receiving Data Entry Clerk I for its busy 24/7 Long Island City Laboratory. This is an administrative support position for an environmental testing laboratory.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Receive environmental samples and enter Chain of Custody into LIMS system.
Review paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctness.
Inspect samples to ensure sample integrity is retained and that the packaging is not compromised.
Make sure all samples are placed in the proper storage area to await analysis.
Answer high volume phone calls and interface with clients.
Assist with customer service client questions via phone and e-mail.
Act as a liaison between clients and laboratory staff.
Clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, faxing, assisting clients, scanning, and mailing as necessary.

Requirements:
High School Degree or equivalent.
Excellent Customer Service Skills- Customer Service Experience is a plus.
Excellent computer skills.
Must be proficient in MS Office especially Excel and typing.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clientele.
Must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
Must be a team player.
Must be able to prioritize work assignments.
Must be organized and have attention to detail.
Must be able to stand and sit for various lengths of time.

Available Shift:
Monday to Friday 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Training schedule to start will be Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday to Saturday 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Training schedule to start will be Tuesday to Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Thursday to Monday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Training schedule to start will be Thursday to Monday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
