SUMMARY:
The Sales Support Specialist I will support Rheem’s activities and initiatives to increase sales and profitability by engaging Store Managers, Department Managers, and Store Associates at Menard’s. Provide product and merchandising training throughout the channel, develop, and support regional and local activities with contractors to grow sales and ensure proper company procedures are being followed.
This position will serve our Water Heater Division and is field based within an assigned territory. (Central Michigan and Northern Indiana)
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Participate and assist in events including:
  • Scheduled Menards Events
  • Contractor Outreach
  • Store and Contractor Trainings
  • Collaborate with Rheem’s training and sales teams to drive initiatives such as product launches and new programs etc.
  • Collaborate with Menard’s training manager on large plumber events and blitzes at ILCs
  • Assist in coordinating new store setup with the Menard’s merchandising group
  • Help with assortment changes, service tasks, planograms and maintenance
  • Coordinate schedules to support market and reports to Sales Support Manager for market updates
  • Assist in planning and executing sales strategies to create pull through demand for assigned plumber group
  • Apply sales approaches/mindsets for successful execution of recommendations
  • Build relationships with customers and be seen as a business consultant.
  • Maintain relationships with Store team and Key Account Manager for customer handoffs

Qualifications*WHAT YOU NEED:*

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two (2) years' previous experience in customer support, client services, sales, or a related field
  • Basic computer skills and experience with tracking and recording call information, filing documents, or updating customer profiles/accounts; may include entering and tracking merchandise, scheduling with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to present in front of large groups i.e.,10 or more
  • Ability to think strategically with an innovative mindset (think outside the box)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the market
  • Excellent customer care and focus; ability to assess customers' needs and provide correct answer, path, troubleshooting, or method for a positive customer experience
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
