Hotel Sales Manager

The Role -

The Hotel Sales Manager is a key position within the hotel responsible for proactively soliciting appropriate business opportunities through a combination of tele-prospecting and direct sales to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals for assigned hotel.

Duties and Responsibilities -

  • Meets sales goals as outlined by the General Manager / Regional Manager for designated hotel property.
  • Conducts hotel tours and site inspections for potential customers.
  • Completes weekly sales call reports to be turned in to the General Manager and Corporate.
  • Maintains detailed account files.
  • Responsible for development and execution of action plan outlining planned sales activities.
  • Must be knowledgeable of local market.
  • Responsible for third party requests such as Hotel Planner and Brand RFP’s.
  • Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to maximize revenue.
  • Effectively develop relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base.
  • Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Creates customer correspondence as required (sales agreements, proposals, etc).
  • Ability to understand, execute and support Brand Standards and Brand Service Culture.
  • Excellent written, verbal and telephone sales skills.
  • Basic software knowledge (Windows, Microsoft Office, etc).

  • Must have exceptional attention to details, deadlines and persistent follow up skills
  • Previous sales experience
  • Must have reliable transportation and can travel the market - can require some extensive driving at times within a local region
  • Must be familiar with the local market in the Greater Racine area
