POSITION SUMMARY:

Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc. is seeking an experienced sales executive with a strong working knowledge in Toys & Collectibles for this Manager position. The Sales Manager’s primary focus is to help lead a sales team charged with selling the companies various merchandise lines to new and established accounts in a variety of sales channels. Additional responsibilities include training, sales strategy implementation, product presentations, act as a Vendor Liaison, POS Analysis and forecasting. Qualified candidates must be well informed in the world of pop culture.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Generate revenue by expanding business opportunities with new & existing retail partners across our sales channels
  • Be a strong leader and reference point to sales staff inquiries with regards to product, policies, and procedures.
  • Motivate team members for maximum production
  • Implement various KPI’s including sales goals
  • Devise strategies and techniques necessary for achieving sales goals
  • Coach and monitor performance of Sales Representatives
  • Review with sales staff on best products to solicit for each assigned customer.
  • Work with the company’s New Accounts Department, build relationships and sales with new customers
  • Help team develop customer relationships to become a preferred vendor for our retailers
  • Oversee bulk remainder sales
  • Coordinate execution with internal teams (purchasing, order processing, credit, marketing, retailer services) as needed
  • Report results of Sales Team projects.
  • Train new personnel and existing staff on policies, procedures, and software.
  • Conduct sales presentations for select accounts and accompany sales staff on calls as needed.
  • Work with key vendors as their liaison to the Sales Department.
  • Provide input on marketing programs and sales support materials.
  • Represent the company and meet with customers at trade shows.
  • Analyze current sales processes and spearhead improvements.
  • Provide input on product development for current and new sales channels
  • Some travel required.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • BA/BS in a business preferred.
  • Knowledge of toys and other related pop culture collectibles.
  • Five plus years of sales/customer service experience preferred
  • Wholesale/B2B sales experience preferred.
  • Prior Management experience preferred.
  • Strong Leadership capabilities
  • Mid to advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Enthusiastic out-going personality.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently of others.
  • Must be able to perform well with deadlines.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
