The Stage House Inn, nestled in the heart of South Berwick, ME, is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Sales & Event Coordinator to join our team to sell and lead our events, coordinate room blocks, and oversee all guest engagement while staying with us.

The Stage House Inn and our onsite restaurant, Dufour, are part of the Outlook Hospitality Group in South Berwick, ME, which also includes The Red Barn at Outlook Farm, The Links at Outlook Farm Golf Course, and The Outlook Tavern.

The Stage House Inn offers 20 guest rooms including bridal and junior bridal suite. The Nealley House, a home rental extension of the inn located just across the street, will be opening May, 2023. With 5 bedrooms, 5 ½ baths, the historic home features a bridal suite, full kitchen, dining room, living area, backyard, and more.

Job duties & expectations include:

~ Guiding wedding couples through the process of booking rehearsal dinners, bridal brunches and after wedding farewell brunches.

~ Sales and organization of non wedding events including but not limited to corporate events, showers, celebrations of life, holiday parties, and golf stay and play packages.

~ Greeting wedding guests on the day of arrival for their wedding-related stay, arranging shuttle transportation to and from the Red Barn, and sending them off to their event.

~ Preparing and presenting cut sheets for all events to the General Manager, Front of House Manager and Executive Chef a minimum of 10 days prior to each event.

~ Responding to inquiries regarding events, room blocks, and all related guests needs and requests in a timely manner.

~ Developing and maintaining a close working relationship with the Wedding Coordinators at the Red Barn.

~ Checking wedding guests into their rooms at the Stage House Inn as well as the Nealley House on the day of their room block.

~ Managing all event and catering sales for both the Stage House Inn and Nealley House to maximize sales for the Inn.

This position reports to the Stage House Inn General Manager in tandem with the Director of Sales & Marketing for the Outlook Hospitality Group.

~ Flexible schedule is possible however weekends and evenings are a must if we have wedding blocks checking in as you are the main point of contact for the guests. .

Required Experience:

~ Prior hands-on experience with events, catering and hospitality sales

~ Strong leadership skills

~ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

~ Must be a highly motivated self-starter

~ Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of guests including mornings, nights,

weekends and holidays

~ Strong computer skills including Google suite

~ Familiarity with Think Reservations software a plus

~ Ability to train and motivate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
