INSIDE SALES ENGINEER:

The Inside Sales Engineer is the primary support resource for our customers, partners and outside sales team. They are responsible for working collaboratively with the outside sales team as a technical advisor and product advocate. The Inside Sales Engineer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all commercial and technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction.

Major Responsibilities:

• Manage quote requests from inquiry to customer.
• Communicate current project status to District Sales Managers and customers when necessary.
• Contact customer for follow-up or additional information when necessary.
• Evaluate scope of supply and prepare quotes working with Product Managers, District Sales Managers, Production Engineering and Operations when necessary.
• Prepare proposal drawing of required equipment.
• Prepare specification of offered equipment.
• Prepare cost estimates of required equipment.
• Request vendor quotes for major components and follow-up as necessary.
• Ensure Engineering hour estimates have been reviewed by appropriate Engineering Managers.
• Ensure Manufacturing hour estimates have been reviewed by appropriate Operations Managers.
• Obtain delivery estimates from Scheduling for inclusion in specification.
• Ensure quote package meets customer requirements.
• Obtain necessary Management approvals prior to forwarding to Sales/Customer.
• Travel as required for customer meetings, training, etc.
• Maintain MIS/proposal records and documentation.
• Attend kickoff meetings as required.

Experience:

• Knowledge of industrial controls and drive equipment
• Knowledge of markets served
• Knowledge of converting systems equipment

LOCATION: Fulton/Syracuse, NY:

The city of Fulton, NY is named after Robert Fulton, the inventor of the steamboat. It features several enjoyable sights like Rosamond Gifford Zoo and Battle Island State Park ideal for relaxation. Fulton is a vibrant suburb east of Syracuse. Syracuse is located along the old Erie Canal adjacent to the well-known Finger Lakes region. It is a commercial and transportation center at the crossroads of major north-south and east-west routes.

Syracuse University adds a college-town element and is the area’s largest employer. The rest of the employment base is spread among a number of smaller employers and increasingly service-oriented businesses, manufacturing, healthcare, and public agencies. Canal parks and a museum preserve the city’s Erie Canal heritage. There are minor-league sports and the Syracuse basketball team is a local attraction. Oneida Lake nearby and Lake Ontario to the north provide great recreational opportunities. Syracuse is a good alternative to crowded and expensive areas further east and south. The climate is continental with a lake influence.

Education

Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
