Howl at the Moon is a fast-paced, live entertainment bar concept with 12 locations across the U.S. We are now accepting applications for our Sales and Events Manager in Washington, DC! We are looking for a marketing and sales-minded individual to join our senior management team. Applicants must be outgoing, personable, and customer-service oriented. Direct experience in the nightlife/hospitality industry in DC is strongly desired. The ideal candidate will have strong sales skills and an entrepreneurial spirit!
COMPENSATION/ BENEFITS:
- Base salary $45-55k
- Commission on all event and table sales. An average sales manager should expect to generate an additional $20k in commission from events. Top performers earn MUCH more!

HOURS:
This job will be performed on-site. There is opportunity to move to a hybrid model once new hire establishes themselves as a performer in the company.
Monday - Friday: 10am-6pm
Days and Hours will alternate based on special events. Sales and Events Managers are expected to be on-site for all events booked. Events typically take place during the evening hours and occasionally on the weekends.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for all in-house events from conception to conclusion; including preparing the site for walk-throughs, event preparation, proposals, and invoicing
- Catch inbound calls and emails regarding table reservations and events with the goal of converting them into sales
- Research and contact upcoming conventions, meetings, and events to schedule site visits with prospective clients
- Provide coaching for front-of-house staff during events, ensuring execution of all employee duties to guarantee maximum guest satisfaction and a quality work environment
- Attend regular networking events to help build brand awareness
- Manage the hotel pass referral program
- Take photos and videos for content to use on Howl at the Moon's social media
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 21 years of age
- Minimum 2 years experience in the sales and marketing industry (nightlife/hospitality experience a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Management experience is preferred
- Social Media presence with a strong understanding of current/popular platforms and trends
- Outgoing and energetic personality
- Ability to multitask
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Office and Google Docs experience
- Experience using and managing a CRM is a plus
- Professional phone etiquette and customer service
- Ability to identify areas in need of assistance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $66,524.00 - $70,261.00 per year
