Safety and Training Coordinator

A manufacturing company in Grayslake, IL is looking for a Safety and Training Coordinator to join their team. This is a DIRECT HIREopportunity!

Requirements of the Safety and Training Coordinator

· High School Diploma or GED

· Knowledge of federal and local Environmental, Safety, and Health (EHS) regulations, including OSHA

· 5+ years of experience in health and safety related discipline and technical/practical knowledge of EHS regulations, codes, and guidelines

· Demonstrated ability to recognize, evaluate, and recommend controls of workplace hazards

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required, including the ability to interact with outside regulatory agencies

Responsibilities of the Safety and Training Coordinator

· Conduct safety training to employees on various safety topics required by OSHA

· Establish, oversee, and administer healthy and safety standards

· Conduct the investigation of incidents, injuries, and near misses and maintain the proper documentation to determine the root cause and be able to communicate findings

· Participate/lead in continuous improvement opportunities either in work practices or work conditions

· Conduct audits to detect existing or potential environmental, fire, safety, and health hazards

· Determine corrective or preventative measures from audits and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented

Schedule is 1st shift, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $60,000 - $80,000 a year, willing to pay more based on experience
